Terrible mom moment

So I've been going through it, 9 days PP after having my baby at 25 weeks. Healing from a c section, going to the NICU everyday. Trying to still keep the house liveable and take care of my toddler. So my minds a bit scattered. Today I was driving to Walmart after the grocery store with my toddler, we're like 2 minutes away I look back and I had forgotten to buckle him in. Literally no seatbelt at all. We made it there fine but I just felt awful for how dangerous it was. Why tf haven't they added alarms to car seats like the ones they have in our cars??? Someone please tell me they've done the same 😮‍💨

I wanna give you a hug right now 🥺 I'm so sorry you're going through this right now, having a baby in the nicu is such a scary time on top of everything else. You're doing amazing and you're a great mom, we all get scatter brained at times and forget a lot. You're going through so much right now so try not to be so hard on yourself 💕 do you have anyone for support?

You both are okay. Nobody, not even moms can be perfect all the time. To make you feel better my daughter fell off the couch, bed and shower within a MONTH. I questioned if I was a good mother at all. You noticed without anybody getting hurt. Give yourself some grace.

i had gone about 8 blocks away to the hardware store and realised that i had bucked bubs in, but had not tightened his straps. he was okay, thankfully!

I did it once with my oldest and once with my middle. Thankfully they were both too small to climb out. It happens. Forgive yourself Momma!

It’s okay mama! Give yourself some grace!! Everyone is okay! Life is tough on you right now, so it’s more than understandable that this happened! Sending you love and support🫂

This could happen to anyone. The fact you are running errands 9 days pp with a toddler is unreal. You’re doing everything still. Give yourself grace, Max is fine.

@Zainab🗝️ THIS!!! Bc I couldn’t even pull up my own underwear 9 days pp of my CSec. Let alone take care of a toddler. Me and my partner have BOTH done this and we both openly admitted it happened and that we felt bad. We ended it reassuring each other and reminding to say the word “clip” once we’ve done it. (Memory trick)
