Breaking waters

Currently in hospital as was being induced. However upon examination I was pleasantly surprised that I’m actually 2cm dilated and they can reach up enough to break my waters. I’m so scared they’re going to break them in the next few hours. I’ve heard the contractions can become pretty intense very quickly? I’ve alre...

Csection how long does it take?

I have a scheduled csection soon. How long will it be from going into the theatre to be prepped to coming out of it. My partner is very squeamish and doesn’t want to go in for the surgery (I don’t feel the need to have him there too). But how long will he be waiting for me and the girls to be out? I was told I’ll be...

C section

So due to personal reasons at my last growth scan/ obstetrics appointment I requested to have a c section due to my size (4ft8) and my disability as well as my mental health which is BPD and anxiety but my obstetrician basically got defensive and turned down my request by telling me she doesn’t want me having one as...

Braxton hicks

Hi girls, have been experiencing Braxton hicks contractions quite a lot the last three days. Haven’t gone in to get it checked out as of yet as it does tie up with what it says online but just wondering if others are having this issue? I’m 27 weeks tomorrow, thanks!

Bladder leakage

So I’m keeping myself as anonymous as to be honest I’m embarrassed about this and feel quite alone with this issue. Since the birth of my first child back in 2021 I have been having bladder problems, mainly stress incontinence. I was also told that I had overactive bladder. I was given the opportunity to be operated...

Mucus plug

I am just over 35 weeks with number 3 and today at about 6pm and again just now have lost two around 10p size pieces of mucus plug, no blood in it, just clear, thick and jelly like. I know it doesn’t mean labour is imminent and it can regenerate etc. but does losing bits twice in a few hours raise any cause for co...

Hubby and me got done doing the deed lol and I went to pee nothing came out so I washed and cleaned myself. Was standing in the bathroom and felt a trickle coming down my leg. It didn’t come from my urethra it came from my vagina hole. Went to wipe and it was clear and felt like water. Was very little. Baby is movin...

Home birth ladies

I’ve been planning a home-birth my entire pregnancy, but had my 39 week midwife appointment yesterday and disappointingly (with my homebirth midwife believe it or not!) the words ‘induction’ started to be mentioned. I’m not against inductions but wanted to avoid one as a personal choice. If I accept an induction, I’...

39 week elective induction

Who else is choosing to get induced at 39 weeks? And do you also have to wait until the week before...at your 38 week appointment to schedule the exact day? That's what my OB told me was hospital policy.

Episiotomy recovery

Had an emergency forceps delivery on 12th May and still really struggling with the pain and sitting down. Finding the recovery incredibly hard and emotional. Is anyone else in the same boat?
