How do people act like nothing happened after a csection?!

I’ve recently had my second C-Section, and just like the first I am finding the recovery absolutely horrific. However, I know that some people are pretty much back to normal 24 hours later?! Just wondering how?!?!

Breaking waters

Currently in hospital as was being induced. However upon examination I was pleasantly surprised that I’m actually 2cm dilated and they can reach up enough to break my waters. I’m so scared they’re going to break them in the next few hours. I’ve heard the contractions can become pretty intense very quickly? I’ve alre...

Hospital Bag

When is everyone going to start packing their bags? I'm currently 29 Weeks and I know it would maybe be too early now, but I want to be prepared as I'm also moving house in the next few weeks too 😂 Also anyone got any good lists for baby, mum & dad? I'd rather be over prepared than under as the hospital I'm going…

C section pros and cons

I have been in labor starting yesterday at 10am…… I’m exhausted. They broke my water and over the 13 hours I have been here he has yet to dilate any more with endless medicines so they are considering C-section because I’m utterly exhausted. What are the pros and cons? I’m honestly just scared to get cut open but li...

Csection how long does it take?

I have a scheduled csection soon. How long will it be from going into the theatre to be prepped to coming out of it. My partner is very squeamish and doesn’t want to go in for the surgery (I don’t feel the need to have him there too). But how long will he be waiting for me and the girls to be out? I was told I’ll be...

If a hospital refuses to follow my birth plan can I have a homebirth without a midwife? How would that work?

I want to have an as natural as possible birth with lights dimmed and soft music. I want to push when I feel ready to push and not have to wait for a doctor or only when they tell me to. If they refuse to listen and follow my birth plan can I leave and have an at home birth with my partner? We can't get a midwife in...

Mamas who had elective c-section

Would you do it again? Or would you rather try for natural birth? I’m so indecisive i’ve never had a surgery and i’m pretty scared. How long is the surgery? How common are the complications? The infections are more common after c-sections right? Did u have to take antibiotics? Thank you if you share your story🤍

Cramps or contractions?

40w today. Due date 5/31. So no water break no mucus plug. But my uterus feels like it’s being clawed/peeling in the bottom front. Baby boy has started moving a lot more than even usual. Not painful but definitely uncomfortable and feels full. Had to stop walking at one point cause of throbbing. Feels like period...

Baby Girl is Here!

My baby girl came on her due date May 10th, no induction. I woke up that morning having light contractions but they were happening every hour and started to gradually progress in pain. Went to the doctor for my appointment, got home and my mucus plug and bloody show happened. Went to the hospital around 6-7. She was...

Who else is choosing to get induced at 39 weeks? And do you also have to wait until the week before...at your 38 week appointment to schedule the exact day? That's what my OB told me was hospital policy.

C section

So due to personal reasons at my last growth scan/ obstetrics appointment I requested to have a c section due to my size (4ft8) and my disability as well as my mental health which is BPD and anxiety but my obstetrician basically got defensive and turned down my request by telling me she doesn’t want me having one as...

Mucus plug

I am just over 35 weeks with number 3 and today at about 6pm and again just now have lost two around 10p size pieces of mucus plug, no blood in it, just clear, thick and jelly like. I know it doesn’t mean labour is imminent and it can regenerate etc. but does losing bits twice in a few hours raise any cause for co...
