Can breast fed baby take formula for a night
So I’ve had something unexpected come up and I need to go away for tonight and have my wee ones gran look after him for the night he only gets breast fed I’m wondering if he will be ok on formula for the night as i won’t be able to express enough Milk to do him for the night ?

He might be but will he take it? You’ll need to pump the missed feeds to maintain your supply and to protect your own health, if you feel ill or have lumps or hot/red patches on your boobs you really need to get checked for mastitis
I express with some direct breast and I use formula for night feeds. Baby will just go longer between feeds as its thicker then breast milk. You will probably get a different consistency poo which smells different. Our baby happily goes between both

he might just get a little bit of an upset tummy if he’s not used to it as breastfed but needs must and i’m sure he will be okay for the night :)x
