Semi skimmed milk

Hi, our HV told us this week that we can give our one year olds semi skimmed milk as rules have changed and its not much different to whole these days! I know it would save us buying 2 lots of different milk but does anyone else just use semi skimmed?

This NHS page states you can use whole or semi skimmed for 1 year olds https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/eat-well/food-types/milk-and-dairy-nutrition/

Thank you! xx

Oh it’s changed! Great to know xx

Oh, this is a useful update, thanks! Just bought a pint of whole milk today 🤦‍♀️ but once that’s run out I’ll just use the semi-skimmed 👏

Wish I knew this 🤦🏼‍♀️ my boys been on whole milk for 2 months but me and my husband only drink semi skimmed 😅

Whole milk is less processed so still better

Oh aye first I've heard. I had my health visitor last week and she said whole cows milk (full fat) this will be great for us as we only drink semi skimmed, but I have been using the cravendale "big milk" for baby as it has the extra vitamins in it so means I don't have to buy the vitamin droos
