SUCKING ON AND OFF BREASTFEEDING

hey mummas!! Has ur baby boy ever done this- cry before having milk (telling u he wanted milk) then would seem to be playful after feeding (before naptime)?? Also has he ever suck on and off (not coz u have overproduction of supply) but more like playful way. But still feeding. My little shit has been doin this lately 🤣

My son does this but only with my left side 🙄

My boy was falling asleep on nipple now it’s always falling asleep in his little bouncy comfy nap seat.

I switch to bottle feed because he was crying real tears I was like no!!

yes , he might be distracted i had this problem in february and talked to a lactation consultant at his doctors about it (she recommended to put a toy in sight above my chest for him to look at /touch)

Yes he started doing that towards about 7 or 8 months old. I asked his doctor's about it and they said feeding is not just for food but also for comfort so basically I was doing it right because he was happy lol 🤣

My 4 month old has been doing this for the last month. How old is your little one? It's usually distraction and exploration, but it could also be wind. I will give him a burp and then try again!

Do you think it's trouble holding a latch?

Yes, my boy (3mos) has always been a good feeder but now he is chatty about it. He'll cry to nurse, and then pop off to coo and smile at me before quickly returning to business. He'll go back and forth until he is done eating or forgets about eating. I find it quite cute and let him know he doesn't need to nurse to have snuggle and talk time

@Michelle he often cries wit left side i think coz its not squirting milk as much as he would like !

@Meghan Elizabeth peacock same! And they always say “make sure they heve full feed before sleeping”- so hard coz he falls bloody asleep

@Khrim oh really did it work? / has it been working?

@Katie hes 5 months! Hes started doin it around 4mos lol pulls then drink back then back and forth 🤭

@Haley its very cute yes and they smile at u like they know what they doin!
