It’s been 5 days since and I’m already feeling the flame lol. Imma wait it out tho but is it okay to go when you stop bleeding ?

I tried at 2 weeks pp and it hurt too much, tried again at 3 weeks and it felt great! Didn’t hurt at all. Ik it’s not recommended but I felt like my body was fine.

Almost 14 weeks 🤣

@Trinity yea I might wait 2-3 weeks

i definitely wanted to by week 2 but i waited til 6 and it was painful the first time

You still have an open wound inside you until 6 weeks which is why they say you should leave it that long. Before that and you’re at risk of a serious infection. Even if you have stopped bleeding it’s a risk as you aren’t healed fully inside. You may feel fine but it’s not safe.

6 weeks. I mentally and physically didn’t want to but did it for my man. Would’ve waited longer.

Waited 7weeks cause that’s when I felt ready. I highly recommend you wait. 1 week postpartum, inside your uterus is still the size of.m a diner plate and it’s still an open wound…

4 weeks

I second what Megan said. The reason they state to wait for ANY type of penetration of any form (even toys and fingers) is that you have a dinner plate sized wound on your uterus and when you penetrate there’s a likelihood you’ll introduce bacteria in there and it can cause infection that COULD cause lifelong damage to you up there including infertility. I’d find alternatives that doesn’t involve any penetration which should be perfectly fine!

I’m 7 weeks and still haven’t. The dr gave me the okay and I really want to but I’m still having a little bit of bleeding and am still pretty sore so I’m just going to keep waiting

I waited the full 6 for the full deed but we definitely did other things while we waited.

6-7 weeks, wasn’t trying to get an infection or get pregnant right away.. do oral? Just don’t allow fingers or anything else to penetrate you

8 weeks we tried at six and it still hurt

I was given the ok at 6 weeks but was recommended to wait til 10 weeks because of the stitches. And I think I still waited pass that because the pain was unbearable

6 weeks

6 months

4 days after my first. 2 weeks after my second because there were complications during his birth

Girl have some respect for yourself and wait. You have a dinner plate size hole in your uterus, you vagina has just been stretched to infinity, all your muscles have been completely traumatized and brutally contracted. Your body needs TIME to recover!! Let your body rest for min 6 weeks. You might “feel ready” but your body is NOWHERE near ready until after 6 weeks min. Not to mention the very high chance of getting an infection after just having a baby. Waiting is not the end of the world

Y'all need to wait. I'm 9 days PP and feel ready, but there's still a massive open wound where my placenta was. Sex can cause a serious infection. You need to be waiting at least 4 weeks for it to heal. I'll be waiting 6 to be sure. It's actually insane to me doctors don't tell people the risks. It's not even about your vagina healing it's really about your uterus.

Omg bro you need to wait for so many reasons. You don’t want to get pregnant you don’t want to get an infection. You don’t want to tear more. You don’t want to cause more bleeding you have a huge wound inside you. You need to wait at least 6 weeks

Close to 6 months. 8 months pp now and it’s still painful for me. I think they stitched me up tighter and I’m pissed.

Around 8/9 weeks pp.

How was your labor/birth experience? Did you tear? I feel like these are important questions to ask yourself. We waited 6 weeks to be cleared and even then it was painful and honestly scary after going through labor🫣

I’m old and had no problem waiting 😂 I waited longer each pregnancy because I was too tired to get in the mood. For me breastfeeding puts a damper on my drive. Now that we’re two years out and done with pregnancy & breastfeeding we’re back to our normal groove.

Yep. We only waited a week or so and the sex was amazing!!

@Jillian never

@Hannah I feel the same at 14 months still and I didn’t get any stitches or rip at all, birthed my boy both ways (he got stuck and they had to shove him back up and do an ECS). Don’t know what causes that tightness.

@Lauren I did get stitches and sex hurt so bad for me up until like 6 or 7 months!!! It’s still more tight in the beginning than before but once we get going it’s fine. I didn’t let him touch me for soooooo long. Thank God my hubby is patient and also obsessed with me haha

@Julianna my labor and delivery experience was excellent. I labored for 30 mins and she was out only have a small perineal tear. But I’m definitely gonna wait I was just saying I’m feeling the urge so quick it wasn’t expected

@Hannah same!

But I’m def not doing oral because if I gotta wait he def can’t get no short cuts 😫

First time even at 6 weeks I wasn’t feeling it completely because I was absolutely shredded lol did it turned out fine. This time I hit like 2 weeks and I’m ready to go but will definitely be waiting until my appointment because I’m considering getting an iud

Yeahhhh I would wait the 6 weeks because of the giant dinner sized plate wound in your uterus that could easily get infected. Just because you stopped bleeding doesn't mean it's healed.

Don’t come for me y’all but I waited 2 weeks 😂😂 that being said I didn’t have tearing or anything.

Wait till your body is fully healed

@Faith no need to be condescending

Despite how you may be feeling, waiting is the best option.

I had home births, no complications, no tears but I waited at least 4 weeks to be safe and ended up not enjoying it anyways.

You really should wait until your doctor gives you the all clear at your pp appointment. Your cervix needs time to go back to normal to prevent infection.

I personally waited the full 6 weeks because I was scared to try it lol but we didn't wait any longer 😂

4 weeks but I was Cleared up by the doctor

@Hannah Lecira stating facts is not condescending.

I waited months as at the time I couldn’t think of anything worse. I tore and had stitches both births tho

9 weeks

Straight after I stopped bleeding

6 weeks!

A month after I was cleared but the first time was still painful for me unfortunately 😖 definitely waiting a little longer this time around.

I waited until i was healed as i had a 3rd degree tear. I healed pretty quick but i was scared to have sex. Ended up having sex 4 months pp

I had no tearing and no stitches but still didn't have sex until 4 months pp. People are mentioning the 6 week appointment but they don't do these in my area so I waited until I was ready and my body (inside and out) had healed fully.

Wait 6 weeks!!!
