She’s still very young, keep trying before it’s too late xx

Keep trying, I would recommend trying nipple shields if she is struggling to latch on x

Nipple shields can help a lot if she takes to the bottle easy, because it’s similar, then slowly take it away once she’s used to it

Yeah if anything try a nipple shield! I had to use one for a couple months until my baby would finally latch without one.

Offer breast first and try to get baby to latch. If she doesn’t drink anything or seems upset do a bottle. But keep trying. If you’re not pumping, I would start that as well.

@MarlaI do try to offer ever time and got the nipple shield it’s hard to make it suction on and stay on she latched yesterday with it thank you, but and tips to make it stay on?

@Bella you have to roll it inside out pretty much and put the tip on your nipple and let it roll onto it. If that makes sense. I used the medela brand. You might be able to look up a video.

The correct way to conduct lactation counseling in the hospital is to teach the mother just so that she can achieve it on her own at home. I hope you have been able to get a good advisor for you and your case 🤗
