Please help

My baby is in this constant cycle where he wants to feed (breastfeeding). Then falls asleep after 10-15 min and I transfer him to his basket then gives me feeding cues desperate for boob after 5 mins of being in the basket . I’m getting really exhausted with tension headaches, could really do with an hour’s sleep

My newborn girl falls asleep whilst breast feeding as well and we’ve found that changing her nappy before feeding helps wake her up a little bit also moving the boob or transferring her between nipples helps wake her up too so that she re-latches and remember she’s eating. Not sure if these are good tips but I hope they help! ☺️ x

My friend who’s a midwife sent me this: https://www.instagram.com/p/C6LkdB9IWbd/?igsh=MWU3cGgyZDIzNnNsOA==

My newborn girl does occasionally fall asleep and I just give her a nudge or switch boobs. We also change the nappy before a feed (most of the time). X

I tend to give boob then as my boy fell asleep within less then 10 minutes I change his nap. He wakes up then continue feeding and then go to his long nap. Otherwise he us just really difficult to wake up.. just changing boobs won't work for me, my boy likes his sleep 😆

I’ve been feeding on one side, changing nappy then feeding on the other and this works well for getting a decent feed in!

My baby often does the same but I don’t think he’s actually hungry, he gets a sore tummy and wind after feeding so wants comfort. Usually holding him up and rubbing his back, or a finger in his mouth works to get him back to sleep. That’s when know he’s already had a really good feed though x

My midwife suggested stripping my bub to her nappy when getting sleepy during feeds…essentially make them less comfortable. At my day 10 check up there had been no increase in weight (hadn’t lost any either) and i explained a similar scenario to yours. She encouraged that bub should be feeding heavily from one breast if possible, as the milk that makes them put on weight comes after the initial sprint feed session (first 10 min). I would feed as normal and then when bub fell asleep strip to nappy and return to same breast. It was tiring taking so long to feed however she put on 130g in 3 days.

Same problems even with the headache, ive had a constant head ache for about 3 weeks and now im even getting nose bleeds. My daughter will feed and fall asleep then the second i put her down she wakes again. Once she is asleep on the breast though i can barely waker her back up to feed anymore after 10 mins.
